Properties of Nomex Filter Bags

  • Heat Resistance:Nomex filter bags can withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 204°C and short-term peaks up to 240°C
  • Chemical Resistance:They offer good resistance to acids and alkalis, making them suitable for use in environments with harsh chemicals.
  • Mechanical Strength:Nomex fibers provide excellent mechanical strength, ensuring durability and a longer service life.
  • Abrasion Resistance:The inherent abrasion resistance of Nomex fibers helps the bags withstand the rigors of dust collection processes.

Tailored Finishing Treatments

Singeing / Calendering

Removes loose surface fibers and runs the material through hot calendering rolls for a smooth surface that ensures exceptional dust-cake release.

Water & Oil Repellent

Impregnated with Teflon agents to repel moisture and light hydrocarbons, preventing bag-blinding due to local dew-point cooling.

PTFE Membrane Coating

Laminates a micro-porous expanded PTFE membrane on the bag surface, enabling surface filtration and capturing particulates down to 0.1μm.

PTFE Impregnation

Coats each fiber evenly with a Teflon bath to significantly increase anti-oxidant thresholds and provide friction-free sliding wear properties.
