| PT180 | No | Heavier 800 g/m² PTFE felt construction | Applications requiring a more robust filter media structure |
| PT180M | Yes | Heavier PTFE felt with membrane surface filtration | Fine dust and demanding operating conditions requiring low permeability and improved dust release |
| PT380 | No | Project-specific PTFE configuration with lower air permeability than standard non-membrane options | Applications requiring customized media selection based on dust properties, air-to-cloth ratio, and cleaning conditions |
PTFE Membrane vs. Non-Membrane Filter Bags
PTFE Membrane-Laminated Filter Bags
PTFE membrane filter bags use a microporous ePTFE membrane laminated onto the surface of PTFE needle felt.
Filtration Type: Surface filtration
Dust Behavior: Dust is captured mainly on the membrane surface
Best For: Fine dust, difficult-to-release dust, and applications requiring efficient pulse cleaning
Key Benefit: Helps reduce dust penetration into the felt and supports easier dust release under suitable operating conditions
Non-Membrane PTFE Filter Bags
Non-membrane PTFE filter bags use PTFE needle felt without a laminated membrane surface.
Filtration Type: Depth filtration
Dust Behavior: Dust particles gradually enter and collect within the felt structure
Best For: General corrosive or high-temperature dust collection applications
Key Benefit: A practical option where membrane surface filtration is not required and the operating conditions are suitable for standard PTFE felt
Industry & Application
PTFE filter bags can provide excellent filtering effects in various harsh filtering environments. The application of this material not only improves the filtering efficiency, but also brings more possibilities to industrial production and promotes the progress and development of the industry.

PTFE Filter Bags FAQ
100% PTFE filter bags are commonly considered for demanding baghouse applications involving corrosive gas components, high humidity, chemical exposure, fine dust, or elevated operating temperatures.
However, PTFE is not automatically the best choice for every system. Final filter media selection should be based on operating temperature, gas composition, oxygen content, moisture level, dust characteristics, cleaning method, and budget.
Non-membrane PTFE filter bags use PTFE needle felt and mainly rely on depth filtration, meaning dust gradually enters the felt structure during operation.
PTFE membrane-laminated filter bags include a microporous ePTFE membrane on the surface of the needle felt. This creates a surface-filtration structure, helping dust remain closer to the media surface and supporting easier dust release under suitable pulse-cleaning conditions.
Membrane-laminated PTFE filter bags are often considered for fine dust, difficult-to-release dust, or applications with stricter emission and cleaning-performance requirements.
Yes. PTFE filter bags can be considered for waste incineration, waste-to-energy, chemical processing, and other demanding applications involving corrosive gases, moisture, and temperature fluctuations.
Before selecting PTFE filter bags, it is important to confirm the actual gas temperature, oxygen content, acid gas concentration, moisture level, dust abrasiveness, cleaning method, and required service life.
For an accurate quotation and technical recommendation, please provide:
- Filter bag diameter and length
- Quantity required
- Existing filter bag photo, drawing, or sample
- Current filter media, if known
- Operating temperature and peak temperature
- Dust type and gas composition
- Cleaning method: pulse-jet, reverse-air, or shaker
- Bag top and bottom design
- Required delivery destination or port
If you do not have complete information, you can send us photos of your existing filter bags and dust collector system for review.
PTFE filter bag dimensions and construction should match your existing baghouse design, including the tube sheet hole size, filter cage dimensions, bag length, cleaning system, and installation method.
Common options include snap band tops, ring tops, cuff tops, disc bottoms, hemmed bottoms, reinforced wear strips, and customized seam construction.
For replacement bags, the fastest approach is to provide an existing bag sample, drawing, or clear photos with measurements.
PTFE is highly versatile, but other filter media may be more suitable depending on the operating conditions.
- PPS filter bags may be considered for suitable acidic or alkaline gas conditions where the temperature and oxygen level are within the recommended range.
- Aramid filter bags may be suitable for dry, medium-to-high-temperature dust collection applications with abrasion concerns.
- P84 filter bags may be considered for fine dust, irregular particle shapes, or applications requiring good dust-release performance.
- Fiberglass filter bags may be suitable for high-temperature, relatively dry flue-gas applications where a cost-effective solution is required.
Aokai can compare PTFE, PPS, aramid, P84, and fiberglass filter media based on your actual operating conditions and recommend a suitable solution.
