Aokai manufactures custom PTFE filter bags for industrial baghouses operating under corrosive, humid, high-temperature, and fine-dust conditions. Available constructions include 100% PTFE needle felt and PTFE felt laminated with an ePTFE membrane for surface filtration.

Each PTFE filter bag is manufactured according to the customer’s baghouse dimensions, cleaning system, gas composition, operating temperature, dust characteristics, and emission requirements. Custom options include bag diameter and length, snap-band or cuff tops, reinforced bottoms, wear strips, seam sealing, and membrane treatments.

PTFE membrane filter bags use a microporous ePTFE membrane laminated onto the surface of PTFE needle felt.

PTFE filter bags provide excellent chemical and temperature resistance, but they may not be the most economical option for every dust collection system.

Polyester filter bags may be sufficient for lower-temperature, dry, and non-corrosive applications. PPS filter bags may be considered for suitable acidic conditions where oxygen and temperature remain within the recommended range. Aramid filter bags may be suitable for dry, abrasive, medium-to-high-temperature dust. Fiberglass filter bags can be considered for selected high-temperature and relatively dry flue-gas applications.

The final selection should be based on gas temperature, chemical composition, oxygen content, moisture, dust abrasiveness, cleaning method, required service life, and project budget.

However, PTFE is not automatically the best choice for every system. Final filter media selection should be based on operating temperature, gas composition, oxygen content, moisture level, dust characteristics, cleaning method, and budget.

Non-membrane PTFE filter bags use PTFE needle felt and mainly rely on depth filtration, meaning dust gradually enters the felt structure during operation.

PTFE membrane-laminated filter bags include a microporous ePTFE membrane on the surface of the needle felt. This creates a surface-filtration structure, helping dust remain closer to the media surface and supporting easier dust release under suitable pulse-cleaning conditions.

Membrane-laminated PTFE filter bags are often considered for fine dust, difficult-to-release dust, or applications with stricter emission and cleaning-performance requirements.

For replacement bags, the fastest approach is to provide an existing bag sample, drawing, or clear photos with measurements.
