Compared with pulse jet systems, reverse air systems typically operate under lower filtration velocity and are suitable for handling large air volumes and high-temperature dust.

Reverse air filter bags are typically suspended from the top and use support rings to maintain their shape during cleaning. Pulse-jet filter bags are usually supported by internal filter cages and cleaned with compressed-air pulses.
