Snap Band Filter Bags for Baghouse Dust Collectors

Custom snap band filter bags designed for quick installation, reliable tube sheet sealing, and stable dust collection performance in pulse-jet baghouse systems.

What Is a Snap Band Filter Bags?

Snap band filter bags are dust collector filter bags designed with a flexible metal snap band sewn into the top cuff of the bag. During installation, the snap band is slightly compressed and inserted into the tube sheet hole of the baghouse. Once released, the snap band expands and locks firmly against the tube sheet, creating a secure seal between the filter bag and the dust collector.

This design is commonly used in pulse-jet baghouse dust collectors, where filter bags need to be installed, removed, and replaced efficiently. Compared with some traditional bag top designs, snap band filter bags provide easier installation and more reliable sealing performance.

A properly fitted snap band helps prevent dust leakage from the dirty air chamber into the clean air chamber. It also helps reduce air bypass, unstable emissions, and premature filter bag failure caused by poor sealing. For this reason, the correct snap band size, tube sheet hole diameter, filter bag cuff structure, and installation method are all important for stable dust collector operation.

Key Advantages of Aokai Snap Band Filter Bags

Excellent Sealing Performance

The snap band cuff fits tightly into the tube sheet hole, reducing the risk of dust leakage from the clean air chamber.

Stable Filtration Efficiency

High-quality needle felt and precision sewing help maintain stable filtration performance under different dust loads and operating conditions.

Easy Installation and Replacement

Snap band filter bags are designed for quick installation and removal, helping reduce maintenance time during baghouse shutdowns.

Snap Band Materials: Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel?

Aokai Environtec can provide carbon steel snap bands and stainless steel snap bands according to the filter media, working temperature, dust characteristics, and chemical conditions of the dust collector system.

Snap Band MaterialRecommended UseAdvantages
Carbon Steel Snap BandCommonly used for polyester, fiberglass, FMS, and aramid/Nomex filter bagsCost-effective, stable, and suitable for many standard dust collection applications
Stainless Steel Snap BandRecommended for acrylic, PPS, P84, PTFE filter bags, or applications with moisture, acid, alkali, or chemical corrosionBetter corrosion resistance, better durability, and more suitable for demanding working conditions

How to Install Snap Band Filter Bags?

Check the Tube Sheet Hole

Before installation, check whether the tube sheet hole matches the snap band filter bag size. The hole edge should be smooth and free from sharp burrs to avoid damaging the filter bag.

Insert the Filter Bag

During installation, gently compress the snap band and place the filter bag into the tube sheet hole. Do not bend the snap band too much, as excessive bending may cause deformation and poor sealing.

Release and Lock the Snap Band into the Tube Sheet

After the snap band is released, make sure it is fully locked into the tube sheet. The bag mouth should be flat and smooth, without wrinkles or gaps. Finally, install the filter cage carefully and keep it properly aligned with the filter bag.
